Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Moonlighter 2 Endgame Guide
Infinite Vault, Hardcore, Endless gear, and what veterans do after the credits.
The Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault 1.0 release on 2 September 2026 finishes Will’s Tresna arc. The credits roll. The cube still stands in the square. The 1.0 endgame is what you do after that moment — the Infinite Vault, the optional Hardcore death rule, the Endless weapon aspects, the Spark merchant, and the 300,000-gold one-day exam at Vault VII. This page is the veteran’s map for that post-credits work.
If you have not finished the story, start with the walkthrough and Vault unlocks. If you already have Vault VII unlocked and a bag ready, stay here.
What 1.0 actually added for postgame
Official launch notes:
- Story conclusion — Will’s Tresna arc, new quests, cutscenes, and the last argument with Moloch. The cube funds the return to Rynoka.
- Endless Vault VII — earn 300,000 gold in one shop day. Completing it opens the Infinite / golden Endless Vault: repeating high-gold challenges, cosmetics, and merchant flex.
- Endless melee aspects — Endless Sword, Large Endless Sword, Endless Spear, Endless Gauntlets. Sit beside Ultimates as late-game identities, not replacements.
- Endless Void Armour — crit chance plus extra crit damage per Spark perk. Spark is the endgame merchant tied to this.
- Machine Gun gadget — added in 1.0 beside Blob-Life’s Blo-Buddy. A gadget, not a fifth weapon class.
- Shop level 5 — extra Bloblet slot and a cosmetic placement.
- Hardcore — optional. A dungeon death restarts the save. Not Very Hard, not Hardcore Adventurer. Details below.
- Spark — endgame merchant who appears after the credits. Sells Void Armour perks and late cosmetics.
1.0 did not add a fourth biome. Kalina, The Gallery, and Aeolia remain the three story dimensions.
Infinite Vault versus Hardcore versus New Game Plus
These three 1.0 toys are different jobs. Do not mix them.
Infinite / golden Vault is a gold exam. Lifetime gates I–V stay 10,000 / 50,000 / 120,000 / 200,000 / 500,000. Gold is not spent to flip those switches. VII is one morning of 300,000. After that, the golden loop is how you keep a quota. Fail a golden day and you retry that threshold — you do not lose the town the way Hardcore does.
Hardcore is a death rule. Optional. It does not add rooms. It deletes the merchant when you fall. Leave it off until smash is muscle memory and you can stamp Silence Shell without the Codex.
New Game Plus, as 1.0 press described it, is the keep playing after credits loop: shop cosmetics, Endless gear, Bloblets, Boss Rush, Colosseum, golden Vault. Digital Sun did not ship a separate NG+ SKU. Early Access saves continue. You opt into Hardcore or a fresh file if you want a reset.
Infinite Vault in detail
The golden Vault is the main postgame loop for most players:
- Vault VII challenge — 300,000 gold in a single shop day. High-rarity relics, Perfect Stamps, calendar heart matching the biome you ran, shop rank 5, Bloblets on the floor. No Overpriced dead air. Plan the day in advance; do not wing it with a full bag of Commons.
- After VII — the cube goes golden and offers repeating challenges at the same scale. These are cosmetic and quota rewards for players who want to keep printing gold after the story is done.
- Lifetime gates stay — the five Vault keys (10k / 50k / 120k / 200k / 500k) do not reset. They are already unlocked on any 1.0 save that earned them in EA or 1.0.

Hardcore in detail
Do not turn Hardcore on until all of this is true:
- You can smash Rupture without thinking.
- You have finished the Tresna plot once.
- You can stamp Perfect without staring at the Codex.
- You are not hunting Bloblets or Julien patches for the first time.
When you flip it: play a class you already mastered. Short sword or spear is more forgiving than Heartbeat Hunter greed. Blo-Beam covers flyers. Skip Nimbus Regalia’s broken-shield window until you never miss a telegraph. Hardcore has the full rules.
Endless weapon aspects
Unlock these after you are living in Ultimate gear:
- Endless Sword — special becomes a piercing multi-hit that scales with combo.
- Large Endless Sword — defensive stance, Sharpness, counter.
- Endless Spear — spend stored spearheads so basics become specials for a window.
- Endless Gauntlets — Berserk hits even harder; greed play.
Do not reset a file to hunt all four. Craft one for the class you already play, then bank gold for the next Vault challenge.
Spark merchant
Spark appears in Tresna after the credits. He is tied to Endless Void Armour’s Spark perks: crit chance and extra crit damage per perk level. Buy Void Armour from Andrei, then visit Spark for the crit layer. He also sells late cosmetics.
What postgame is not
Not multiplayer. Not redeem codes. Not a live-service season. Not a fourth dungeon. Not a forced reset of your EA town. Steam Cloud still backs %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\11BitStudios\Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault\.
A sane post-credits order
- Walk Tresna for Spark, shop 5, and missing Codex pages.
- Craft one Endless aspect for the class you already like.
- Turn on Bomb Path when the shrine appears — it is a perk branch, not a fifth melee class.
- Bank relics toward Vault VII’s 300k day instead of panic-selling the night you unlock it.
- Run Boss Rush and Greed Colosseum for aspects and a combat check.
- Only then consider Hardcore on a copy you can stand to lose.
- Keep stamping. The shop is still the drug.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is the Infinite Vault in Moonlighter 2?
A repeating high-gold gauntlet that opens after completing Vault VII (300,000 gold in one day). It offers cosmetics and quota rewards for post-credits play.
Does Hardcore delete my save?
Yes. Official 1.0 notes: dying in a dungeon means losing your progress and starting the journey again from the beginning. It is optional and different from Hardcore Adventurer.
When should I turn on Hardcore?
Only after you can smash Rupture without thinking, have finished the story once, and can stamp Perfect without the Codex. Hardcore is not a difficulty slider — it is a permadeath rule.
Do Endless weapons replace Ultimates?
No. They add new specials on top of the same four classes. Unlock Ultimates at Vault IV, then try Endless aspects when the story and gold allow.
Who is Spark?
An endgame merchant who appears in Tresna after the credits. He sells perks tied to Endless Void Armour's crit mechanics.
