Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault How to Get Bloblets

Rescue tasks, Jane the Blobector, shop pets, and the 30 companions.

Bloblets

Bloblets are Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault’s collectible shop companions. They arrived in the Blob-Life Balance Early Access update on 20 May 2026 and stayed for 1.0 on 2 September 2026. They are not a combat class and they are not a gun. You rescue them on dungeon tasks, pay a special currency at the Pet Seller, and park them on the shop floor for temporary bonuses until closing. This page is the how-to. Patch context sits on Blob-Life. The till itself sits on Shopkeeping.

The game is single-player. There are no redeem codes. A Bloblet will not appear because you typed a string. You walk, you finish a task, you pay Jane.

Unlock Jane, then rescue in the dungeon

The Pet Seller is Zane Jane, also called Jane the Blobector. She stands left of the Moonlighter after a bridge. Hold F on the town map once her icon exists; the bind is on Controls. Talk to her to start the Bloblet chain. Until that conversation happens, cute floor blobs are flavor, not a collection.

A first Bloblet can show up in town after you have been running and selling. Petting it is an achievement of its own. That town Bloblet does not count for the rescue achievement. The first dungeon rescue does. If New Companion will not pop, stop petting the shop mascot and go into Kalina, The Gallery, or Aeolia looking for Bloblet tasks.

On a run, Bloblets appear as encounter tasks. Complete the job the prompt names. Success pays the Bloblet currency you spend at Jane to adopt a companion with its own look and apparel. Failure wastes the room the same way a skipped chest wastes a relic. Do not treat every Bloblet room as optional forever if you care about the collector achievements; treat them as a second radar layer next to relic color on Tomo’s map.

You do not have to finish a boss to bank a rescue. The pendant still sends you home. Dying still halves relic quality, which hurts tomorrow’s stamps more than it hurts Jane. If the Bloblet task is done and the bag is already on fire, leave. Shop gold still opens Vault keys. Pets are a side track that feeds the till, not a replacement for Getting Started habits.

The 30 Bloblets and the two big achievements

There are 30 Bloblets in the live game:

  • 10 in Kalina (Day and Night share the desert’s pool)
  • 10 in The Gallery (Exhibition Wing and Treasury Halls / Prison)
  • 10 in Aeolia (Zephyr Fields and Harrowing Heights)

That split matches the three story dimensions, not a fourth biome. Greed Colosseum is a post-boss arena; it is not a fourth Bloblet region. Boss Rush is perk rooms and bosses only, so it is a poor place to hunt rescue tasks. Hunt on normal dungeon routes where the radar still offers side jobs.

Rescue 20 for the collector achievement. Adopt all 30 for the rescue-center achievement. Rescue and adopt are related but not identical: dungeon tasks feed the currency and the rescue counter; Jane’s shop is where the companion actually moves into your roster. If a counter stalls, check whether you rescued without paying Jane, or paid Jane for a look you already wear.

Do not invent a hidden 31st pet. Thirty is the published set: ten per dimension. If a guide from March 2026 never mentions Bloblets, it predates Blob-Life. If a 1.0 recap says the pets were removed, it is wrong.

Equip for the shop shift, not for the dungeon

After Jane unlocks the system, you equip a Bloblet before you open the doors. The bonus lasts until the shop closes. Typical effects are a brief bump to relic value and tips. Digital Sun’s notes also mention other shop-side help; read the pet’s card instead of assuming every Bloblet is a flat gold multiplier.

Practical rules:

  1. Equip before the first customer. Mid-shift swapping is not the design.
  2. Match the pet to the bag. A tip-focused Bloblet loves a Perfect-stamp morning. A value-focused Bloblet loves a Rare-and-up shelf.
  3. Cheap and Perfect still fill the Perkmeter. A Bloblet does not let you Overprice in peace.
  4. Unsold stock stays on the stands overnight. The Bloblet’s buff does not stay with it. Re-equip tomorrow.
  5. Furniture from the Countess and carpets from Ms Scratch still matter more than a single pet if the floor is four sad showcases.

Shop level 4 arrived with Blob-Life. Shop level 5 in version 1.0 adds another Bloblet slot. That is why 1.0 recaps mention extra companions when they talk about the last renovation. It is a slot and a cosmetic placement, not a new dimension. K33P3R level 4, Rival (Julien) level 4, and LandLady luxury cosmetics also landed in the same May patch; they spend gold, they do not print Bloblets.

Bloblets are shop creatures. They do not roll for you, they do not backpack-smash Rupture, and they do not replace Eris potions. Combat still runs on a melee class, a gun, and a perk path. If you want Poison Path, that is a dungeon deck from the same update, not a pet aura.

How Bloblets fit the rest of the loop

Vault gold is still lifetime sales. A Bloblet that raises tips feeds Endless Vault the same way a Perfect Stamp does. The cube does not charge a fee. Pets do not rewind keys. They also do not create a published gold number for Vault VI; that sixth key is a Blob-Life narrative beat. Plan I–V at 10,000 / 50,000 / 120,000 / 200,000 / 500,000 and VII at 300,000 in one day on vault unlocks.

Weapon aspects from the same patch (Starsign Horn, Protocol Breaker, Dreampiercer, Single Strike) are Andrei/Babyl problems, not Jane problems. Blo-Buddy is a gadget that shoots in rooms. Do not walk into Jane’s stall expecting a spear.

A sane order if you just noticed the bridge:

  1. Finish the first shop day and a Kalina loop so the town exists. Getting Started.
  2. Talk to Jane. Do not skip the bridge.
  3. Run Kalina with an eye on Bloblet tasks as well as Spike Flowers.
  4. Adopt, equip, open, stamp. Then Gallery at Vault I and Aeolia at Vault II for the other twenty pets.
  5. Save Boss Rush for combat practice. Save shop 5’s extra slot for when 1.0’s last floor is paid.

The walkthrough still wants Herald, Curator, Tyke, Thalaam, Senda, and Monte in story order. Bloblets ride along those biomes. They do not rearrange the bosses. Town directory for Jane, Scratch, Julien, K33P3R, and Spark: NPCs. Index: Guides Hub.
