Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Moonlighter 2 Guides Hub

Shop, backpack, combat, dungeons, and vault keys for the 1.0 release.

Guides Hub

This Guides Hub is the map for every Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault how-to on the wiki. Version 1.0 shipped on 2 September 2026, so these pages assume the finished game on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2 — not the Early Access build from 19 November 2025.

If you just installed the $29.99 title, start with the getting started guide. It covers difficulty, the Kalina tutorial, the first shop day, and why you should talk to Andrei before a second dungeon. Then split your attention between shopkeeping and the backpack puzzle. Gold from sales, not raw relic count, is what opens the cube in Tresna.

Read in this sequence if you want a clean first weekend:

  1. Getting started — first hour, no wasted gold.
  2. Shopkeeping plus the shop price tool — Silence Shell at 21 gold, Sand Fruit at 31, Firewood at 42, and the rest of the stamp list.
  3. Backpack — Burn, Armor, Shock, and Petrify before they delete a rare.
  4. Combat and the weapon tier list — pick a class and stay with it for mastery.
  5. Dungeons when you leave Kalina Day.
  6. Endless Vault with the vault unlock table as you approach 10,000 lifetime sales.
  7. Walkthrough when you want story order, boss drops, and the 1.0 ending.
  8. Bloblets once Zane Jane appears left of the shop — dungeon rescues, the 30-pet split, and shop bonuses.
  9. Boss Rush when you want Blob-Life perk rooms and bosses without a full relic route.
  10. Gold farming when Vault numbers stall.
  11. Bosses when a shield will not drop.
  12. New Game Plus after the credits — Infinite Vault, Hardcore, Endless gear.

The controls reference sits beside those pages. Hold F on the town map to teleport to NPCs. There is no stamina bar, so you can roll forever in a fight.

Shop, bag, and combat

Moonlighter 2 is still the 2018 loop rebuilt in Unity 6 as a 3D isometric sequel: dungeon run, backpack puzzle, shop sale, then spend gold on town, gear, and vault progress. Digital Sun and 11 bit studios kept it single-player. Every sale is yours.

The shopkeeping guide explains faces, the six-day Codex calendar, showcases, and how quality stars multiply a tag. Ms Scratch and Doña Guita sell floor expansions after vault keys; the Countess sells furniture. Shop rank 5 arrived in 1.0 with extra Bloblet slots. Town faces are listed on the NPC roster.

The backpack page is the other half of profit. Relics run common through legendary, then star quality on top. Kalina relics burn or armor neighbors. Gallery relics shock, overcharge, and need batteries. Aeolia petrifies stock into Aetherium that is destroyed if it is still in the bag when you return to Tresna. Rankings live under relics.

Combat is covered in combat and ranked in the builds list. You start with the Old Broom, a spear. Andrei crafts short sword, large sword, spear, and gauntlets. Merchant weapons unlock after one shop plus Kalina and cost four Sun Eaters. Babyl sells guns: Blob Gun at the start, Blo-Beam after a Gallery run, Blo-Blaster from an Aeolia hidden treasure, Blo-Blitz from Greed & Glory. Ultimate recipes need the Burning Hammer from Vault IV at 200,000 cumulative gold.

Dungeons and the vault

The dungeons guide walks Kalina Day and Night, The Gallery’s Treasury Halls and Exhibition Wing, and Aeolia’s Zephyr Fields and Harrowing Heights. Boss drops matter: Herald (Sound of Hubris), Thalaam (Alabaster Candle), Curator (Quantum Core), Tyke (Broken Rocket), Senda (King’s Left Mask), Monte (King’s Right Mask). Purple Rupture glow around half health is your backpack smash window.

The Endless Vault tracks cumulative sales. Gold is not spent to turn a key. Vault I at 10,000 opens the Merchant’s Grimoire and The Gallery. Vault II at 50,000 opens Aeolia, the Onyx Cauldron, the first shop upgrade, and the Weird Prisoner. Later keys are listed on that page and on vault unlocks. Vault VII in 1.0 asks for 300,000 gold in a single day, then repeats as the Infinite Endless Vault.

Tools, tiers, and 1.0 notes

Use the tier list hub and the tools hub when you outgrow starter gear. The players hub and NPC list cover Andrei, Eris, Tomo, Babyl, Nou, Julien, Zane Jane, Spark, Bloblets, and the rest of Tresna. How to rescue and equip the pets is the Bloblets guide. How to run Kalina, Prison, Aeolia, and Interdimensional perk-and-boss gauntlets is Boss Rush. Patch notes for Bomb Path, Endless weapon aspects, Endless Void armor, and the Machine Gun gadget are on version 1.0. The death rule is on Hardcore. Julien’s backpack sews are on patches. Deluxe and boxed copies are on editions. HEX, Nimbus Regalia, and the Greed Colosseum are on Greed & Glory. Bloblets, Poison Path, shop 4, and Vault VI are on Blob-Life. The updates hub lists the order.

Official store and social links sit on the wiki links page and the links hub. Soundtrack is Chris Larkin. A demo still exists if you want to test Steam Deck Verified performance before buying. Game Pass carried the 1.0 launch on day one.

If you only bookmark two pages besides this hub, make them getting started and the walkthrough. After the credits, add gold farming and New Game Plus. Everything else is a specialist tool for a later night in Tresna.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Moonlighter 2 guide should I read first?

Start with the getting started guide, then shopkeeping and the backpack puzzle. Combat and dungeons matter more once you have one clean shop day and a plan for 10,000 gold.

Is this wiki written for Early Access or the 1.0 release?

These guides assume the 2 September 2026 1.0 release on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2. Early Access launched 19 November 2025; numbers here match the finished game.

Where are perfect shop prices and vault gold thresholds?

Stamp prices live on the shop prices tool. Vault keys (10,000 / 50,000 / 120,000 / 200,000 / 500,000, then the 300,000 single-day challenge) are on vault unlocks and the Endless Vault guide.

Does Moonlighter 2 have multiplayer?

No. Moonlighter 2 is single-player only — every run, sale, and vault key is yours alone.

How do I jump between town vendors quickly?

Open the town map and hold F to teleport to NPCs. The controls page lists the rest of the bindings used in dungeons and the shop.

Where are Bloblets, bosses, gold, and New Game Plus?

Bloblets and Boss Rush sit under this hub. Named story fights are on the boss guide. Vault money is on gold farming. Infinite Vault and Hardcore after the credits are on New Game Plus.
