Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Moonlighter 2 New Game Plus
Infinite Vault, Hardcore, and the merchant loop after the credits.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault left Early Access on 2 September 2026. The story in Tresna has credits. This page is what you do after that. Digital Sun’s official 1.0 language is Infinite / golden Endless Vault, Hardcore, Endless weapons, Spark, and shop level 5. Several 1.0 reviews (Finger Guns among them) also describe a New Game Plus that lets you keep the merchant loop once Moloch’s plot is done. Treat those as the same job from two labels: you are still Will, still in Tresna, still stamping relics. There is no second hero and no multiplayer NG+ lobby.
If you have not finished the cube, start with the walkthrough and Vault unlocks. If you already have Vault VII staring at you, stay here.
What 1.0 actually added for postgame
Official launch notes, not rumors:
- Story conclusion — Will’s Tresna arc, new quests, cutscenes, and the last argument with Moloch’s mess. You can reclaim the homeland the Steam page talks about; the cube is the deal that funds it.
- Endless Vault VII — 300,000 gold in one shop day. Completing the 1.0 Vault line opens the Infinite / golden Vault, a repeating high-gold gauntlet. Fail a golden day and you retry that threshold; you do not lose the town the way Hardcore does.
- Endless melee aspects — Endless Sword, Large Endless Sword, Endless Spear, Endless Gauntlets, plus Endless Void Armour (crit chance, extra crit damage per Spark perk).
- Machine Gun gadget beside Blob-Life’s Blo-Buddy.
- Shop level 5 — extra Bloblet slot and a cosmetic placement.
- Hardcore — optional. A dungeon death means losing progress and starting the journey again from the beginning. Details: Hardcore.
- Spark — endgame merchant tied to Void Armour’s Spark perks. NPC roster.
1.0 did not add a fourth biome. Kalina, The Gallery (Prison in some Boss Rush menus), and Aeolia remain the three story dimensions. Finger Guns noted that EA players who expected another world would feel the full release as cosmetics, encyclopedia, Greed Alert, Bomb Path, and a finished plot. New buyers get the whole package in one download.
Infinite Vault versus Hardcore versus “NG+”
Do not mash the three together.
Infinite / golden Vault is a gold exam. Lifetime gates I–V stay 10,000 / 50,000 / 120,000 / 200,000 / 500,000. Gold is not spent to flip those switches. VII is one morning of 300,000. After that, the golden loop is how you keep a quota. How to print that number: gold farming.
Hardcore is a death rule. Optional. It does not add rooms. It deletes the merchant when you fall. Leave it off until smash is muscle memory and you can stamp Silence Shell without the Codex. It is not Very Hard (the Blob-Life slider).
New Game Plus, as 1.0 press used the phrase, is the keep playing after credits loop: shop cosmetics, Endless gear, Bloblets, Boss Rush, Colosseum, golden Vault. Digital Sun did not ship a separate “NG+ SKU.” You do not repurchase the game. Early Access saves continue; you opt into Hardcore or a fresh file if you want a reset.
If a forum post promises NG+ carry-over charts (which patches, which gold, which Bloblets), treat the live 1.0 menu as the authority. This wiki will not invent a hidden third save type.
A sane post-credits order
- Walk Tresna for Spark, shop 5, and missing Codex pages.
- Craft one Endless aspect for the class you already like. Do not reset a file to hunt all four.
- Turn on Bomb Path when the shrine appears; it is a perk branch, not a fifth melee class. Builds.
- Bank relics toward Vault VII’s 300k day instead of panic-selling the night you unlock it.
- Run Boss Rush and Greed Colosseum for aspects and a combat check. Colosseum failure halves bag quality.
- Only then consider Hardcore on a copy you can stand to lose.
- Keep stamping. The shop is still the drug. Deluxe Zen Patio furniture is cosmetic; it does not raise Vault math.
Soundtrack is still Christopher Larkin. Deluxe bundles the Zen Patio Pack, digital artbook, and OST. None of that is a new dungeon.
What postgame is not
Not multiplayer. Not redeem codes. Not a live-service season. Not a Trello. Not a fourth dimension. Not a forced reset of your EA town. Steam Cloud still backs the same %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\11BitStudios\Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault\ folder. System requirements and editions did not change at credits.
If you arrived from a search for New Game Plus, you are in the right place: finish the story, feed Vault VII, then live in the Infinite Vault and the kits 1.0 parked next to Andrei. Index: Guides Hub. Launch checklist: Version 1.0.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Does Moonlighter 2 have New Game Plus?
1.0's official postgame is the Infinite Endless Vault after Vault VII, plus Hardcore and Endless gear. Reviews also describe a keep-playing-after-credits loop. There is no separate NG+ SKU.
What is Infinite Vault?
A repeating high-gold gauntlet that opens after the 1.0 Vault line, including the 300,000 gold in one day exam at VII. Failing a golden day retries that threshold; it does not Hardcore-wipe the town.
Does 1.0 add another biome?
No. Kalina, The Gallery, and Aeolia remain the three story dimensions. Postgame is gold, gear, cosmetics, and optional Hardcore.
Will my Early Access save work after the credits?
Yes. 1.0 continues the same file. Hardcore is an optional death rule, not a forced NG+ reset.
Should I turn on Hardcore for New Game Plus?
No. Finish Infinite Vault on a normal save first. Hardcore restarts the journey on a dungeon death and is a separate dare.
